The wild land Santana, has always been characterized by brave people bear, boar and enterprising, but sometimes these lofty ideals we forget (and I say that we forget because I have to feel Santana to have walked on this noble land and take root because in it) and we’re used to living in the quadrangle. Surely, our municipal and departmental leaders, walk great for developing projects run by aid deserved the resources of the nation and even with the help of the European Union and other international organizations. That is very laudable and absolutely necessary. However, in the particular case of the roads, which are an essential part of the life of a community, in fact, a lot to do, but it’s worth before blaming the general budget of the nation, the fate , climate and even the tight budgets of other territorial entities, we do a self reflection accompanied by a very objective and straightforward: be that our local, regional and departmental levels are actually doing what they should do, have put all necessary effort and has not been sufficient or will rather (as I suspect) that the macro be thinking, forget that which though very simple and unrepresentative in terms of gaining points in politics is the essence of governance and social responsibility that leader, wise and unselfish, that lay hold to the common sense of the social logic and only you interested in the welfare of their constituents, putting aside their own interests?. Let me illustrate with some photos taken on the road to San Gil Charla tourist corridor, the apathy that is emerging in this area with the lack of maintenance of some roads that are not highways but, if they have invested a large sum of money in its design, opening and paving and are now on the verge of collapse. Pity that our leaders have forgotten is that preventive maintenance is one of the best investments that human intelligence has been found to optimize the few or many resources of the entire company.
A well maintained gutter extends the life of a road. Lords Mayors and Governor, having in mind that water, being indispensable for life, is the worst enemy of the roads. Invest in maintenance!
