In 1996, La Fura dels Baus received a visit from Gerard Mortier in Granada, where represented La Atlantida, by Manuel de Falla. It was almost by chance, thanks to a contributor who offered to mediate and show the operatic debuts of the until then groundbreaking theatre company to the Belgian director. At the end of the work, without giving him importance, cited to Mortier, then responsible for the Salzburg Festival, in a cocktail bar in the city.
